There is no need to shave the whole head for a hair transplant with the FUE/implanters method, but only the occipital part (donor area) of it. This ‘navy shave’ as it is called, is the scalp shave of choice for two reasons:
- The donor area can be easily and within necessary time limits get harvested in order to get an adequate and satisfying number of qualitative extracted hairs.
- The non shaved hairs at the recipient area are the greatest guide for the implantation of the transplanted hairs in the right direction and angle as well as for their proper distribution.
